Close Encounters Of The Pavement Kind

I mentioned yesterday that Nate's face had an encounter with a little pavement at the park, but he didn't look so bad other than a bit of swelling on his upper lip. We even made jokes about him having "Seth lips", but it wasn't so funny today. At least he said it doesn't hurt.

And a bonus picture of Seth (who really does have Seth lips) just because he's so handsome:

PS. These pics might be as good as it gets when it comes to my "Mommy's spot" with Nate. It's more noticeable in real life, but if you click on the pics and look closely you can see the thin blue zig-zag vein across the bridge of his nose. It's always been there and it's not faded since he was born so I expect it's here to stay. When he gets older he will probably hate it, but for now at least it's still mine to love and kiss whenever I like.

  1. Dear Nate and Seth,

I hope that Nate's sore lip is feeling much better.

That bump must have hurt a lot!

I love seeing all your Canada Day pictures. Your red and white shirts and your maple leaf and flag tattoos are very special.

It looks like you are having lots of fun with Mommy and Gamma Rita playing on the bouncy castle, eating your special treats, floating your red balloons, blowing your red and blue horns and waving your Canadian flags.

I hope you are having another very happy summer day.

    Sending lots of love,

    Grandma Leslie xxxxoooo
