Nate at 8:53 AM, February 01, 2011. Exactly one year old. |
For Nate, my first:
One year ago at this exact time, I held my breath listening for a sound I'd waited a lifetime to hear. And when I heard it finally I exhaled at least a little. Nate, you didn't disappoint. Your sweet cry as you let out your first breath was the most beautiful sound on earth and I will never forget it as long as I live. It was loud and it was long and most especially it was unmistakably you.
I hope you have the happiest of happy first birthdays.
All my love,
Mommy
Happy 1st Birthday Nate! It's been so fun watching your 1st year on mommy's blog. Looking forward to seeing more shenanigans year 2.
ReplyDeleteNate,
ReplyDeleteYou fill our lives with your joy, your laughter, your curiousity, and warmth. Often, when you are very happy, you get an expression that says "This is The Best Thing Ever!". Know that when I am holding you in my arms, sharing some tickles, watching you crawl, stand, and soon walk - these are some of the best things ever for me too. I am proud and blessed to have shared some of these moments with you and can't wait to see what new wonderful things your future brings.
Happy Birthday!
Love, Dad
Happy Birthday to Sweet Nate - this is the third time Gamma's trying to send you a happy birthday and the post never comes up. I'm so happy that your mummy thought your first cry after delivery was the most wonderful sound she's ever heard since she'll, no doubt, be hearing alot of it over the years - but not on your birthday, I hope. Your Gamma Rita misses you something awful and I know you made all those cute faces to help me get by until the next time I can see you and cover you with all my love, hugs and lots of s.k.'s - special ones for your first. Love Gamma Rita
ReplyDeleteBetter late than never!!
ReplyDeleteA Birthday Poem
For Nate and Seth, two brothers dear
Born February first - it was a wonderful year!
You're best friend twins - like bugs in a rug
Who give lots of joy and all heart strings a tug.
Seth, do you know that you look like your Daddy?
And that you, Nate, resemble a most beautiful lady?
You’re made of good stock boys – of that let’s be clear
It’s hard to imagine how you’d be any more dear.
You both make me laugh with your giggles and smiles
The odd “Stinkeroo” face and innocent guiles
So here’s “Happy Birthday” to two precious boys
May you enjoy Karen’s cake, have fun and make noise!
With loads of love,
Auntie Lo
